Barbados and Trinidad & Tobago Men’s senior teams will face off in a friendly international this Friday March 10.
The match is being held in continued preparation for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers to be held later this month.
T&T was originally slated to play Suriname this Friday, but host Suriname pulled out unexpectedly at the last minute, leaving T&T’s Football Association to quickly scramble to secure the alternate match against Barbados, which it will host at the Ato Boldon Stadium in Couva, Trinidad.
T&T’s team has been in training camp for the past 2 weeks preparing for the crucial qualifiers, under newly appointed head coach, Dennis Lawrence.
Lawrence said the Barbados match will be used to see which players can best contribute to the team for the World Cup Qualifiers.
After the Barbados friendly on March 10, the Trinidad & Tobago Soca Warriors will host its two World Cup qualifiers at the Hasely Crawford Stadium against Panama on March 24 and Mexico on March 28.
