St. Vincent Soca star Kevin Lyttle, has signed a major record deal with Sony Music.
Via his own label Tarakon Records, Kevin Lyttle signed with Sony’s subsidiary Ultra Records, to release 4 new projects – including what will be his 4th full-length album tentatively entitled “Slow Motion”.
The Sony/Ultra Records deal marks Kevin Lyttle’s second partnership with a major U.S. label. In 2004, he signed with Atlantic Records following the success of his platinum single “Turn Me On”.
Kevin Lyttle formed his Tarakon Records in 2007, which had a distribution deal with Universal that released his second album “Fyah”. Tarakon currently has 11 Caribbean based artists and plans to expand into several other genres this year.
Kevin Lyttle is currently riding the success of his most recent hit, a collaboration with Latin artist Nengo Flow entitled “Midnight”, which peaked at no.1 on Billboard’s new “Tropical” chart in October.
