This past Saturday the superstar sprinter known affectionately as the Pocket Rocket received her degree in Child and Adolescent Development from University of Technology.

Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was very excited and energized by the ceremony and said

“I’m not a perfectionist in a sense, but I try to leave no stones unturned. If I have a day to work on something, I am going to work on it. I’m not waiting 'til when it’s time to race to work on it. I work on it before. So that’s what I did, and my coach saw that and he became very protective of me.”

She was also bestowed the first ambassador of the University for her international achievements in athletics.

Her Facebook page has her post stating "The Shelly-Ann Fraser Assessment Centre for Children to come" indicating that she has plans to start helping Jamaican kids set and achieve goals through discipline and work just as she did.
