Oscar Pistorious is grasping at straws to save his skin and his family is joining in but just putting their proverbial foot in their mouth.

His father Henke 'Pik Botha' Pistorious recently stated that the reason his family is heavily armed is that the cops do not protect white people 'from blacks' in South Africa. Isn't that just total nonsense. Sure there is extreme violence, and it will continue to be that way because there is a great wealth gap and the whites have 99% of that wealth due to hundreds of years of apartheid oppression.

The blacks in South Africa are still oppressed, and in desparation, they may strike at the man with the key to the cookie jar just for basic survival. The only blacks allowed in the neighborhood where Oscar Pistorious lived and killed Reeva Steenkamp, are the lawn care keepers, maids and street cleaners, and they all have to pass inquisitions that guarantee they are 'white worshippers'. Some are even given the status, though now secret, called 'Honorary Whites'.

If Henke Pistorious wants to help his son, he needs to keep his racist thoughts to himself.
