4 JetBlue baggage handlers in Antigua are suspected of smuggling drugs during the Christmas holidays.

The 4 men – whose names are being withheld because they have not been formally charged, work at the VC Bird International Airport and are believed to be involved in smuggling more than 30 pounds of cocaine into the U.S.

Last Wednesday, the men were detained at Police Headquarters and held until Friday morning, when they were released pending further investigations.

On December 29, the cocaine was discovered on a JetBlue flight that arrived at JFK International Airport in New York. Details about the drug seizure and if there were any arrests are still unknown, however, it has been reported that new security measures at both JFK and VC Bird have been implemented.

Last year Jamaican JetBlue flight attendant Marsha Gay Reynolds, was arrested after attempting to smuggle more than 60 pounds of cocaine into LAX airport in Los Angeles.
