TRUMP CALLS LEADERS OF PANAMA AND T&T

Donald Trump called the political leaders of 2 Caribbean countries.
Yesterday afternoon, Trump called the president of Panama, Juan Carlos Varela, and T&T’s Prime Minister Dr. Keith Rowley, to discuss what the White House calls “shared priorities”. Details of the conversations have not been released, but both leaders confirmed the phone calls.
Via twitter, President Varela said that he and Trump discussed their countries’ “excellent bilateral relationship on economic, security and regional matters” and agreed to hold talks between their respective high-level officials.
While the Press Secretary to T&T’s Prime Minister, released a statement saying that Dr. Rowley and Trump spoke about a number of issues of mutual interest to T&T and the U.S., and agreed to continue working together on security, trade, and other matters.
During the calls Trump invited both leaders to visit Washington, D.C., but did not specify a date. Donald Trump has been speaking with foreign leaders since taking office a month ago.
