IrieJam is featured in a video by Dancehall star Alkaline.

Last November, Alkaline filmed the video for his single “City” in New York City.

Directed by Jay Will – who is responsible for videos from artists like Shaggy, Vybz Kartel, Ky-Mani Marley, – “City” shows Alkaline and his crew in both his home town and in the streets of New York.

The New York scenes show Alkaline riding on the top of a SUV in New York’s Time Square, his crew dancing in the streets, and holding a press conference at the IrieJam office.

In the press conference scene, Alkaline sits at table just in front of the IRIEJam banner, but refuses to answer any questions from reporters. Station DJ’s Dubbmaster Chris, Marcus Wanted, and Dave Judah make cameo appearances.

“City” is believed to be a diss record aimed at fellow Dancehall artist Popcaan and Vybz Kartel.

Featured on Alkaline’s debut album “New Level Unlocked”, and produced by DJ Frass Records, “City” is already one of the biggest hits of the year and its video has been views more than 3 million times on VEVO.
