The first ever Soca sample library is set to be showcased in Los Angeles this weekend.

Entitled “Soca Starter Pack – Volume 1”, the library is set to be a prominent feature at this year’s National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show, which begins today.

The project is a collaborative effort between Trinidadian music production houses Indigisounds and Precision Productions, whose co-founders David Chow and Kasey Phillips respectively, will host their Booth #201C22.

Along with Soca Starter Pack – Volume 1, the team will also promote several musical sample packs including Indigisounds Steelpan Samples, the largest and most authentic Steelpan sample library; and the exclusive sample library of Trinidad and Tobago’s percussion co-created with Jus Now and Laventille Rhythm Section.

In a release, representatives from both companies said “presenting this library at NAMM, is truly an impressive and monumental step toward bringing Soca to the entire musical universe”.

Held annually, The National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) trade show is considered one of the two largest music product trade shows in the world.

The opportunity to present at NAMM marks the first time a Caribbean music company has been involved in the prestigious event.
