Spice has become the first female Dancehall artists to surpassed 1 million views online.

A tally shows Spice has more than 120 million views on her Youtube channel and Vevo collectively.

The majority of Spice’s views came from her hit record, “So Mi Like It” – which was released 3 years ago, and accounts for more than 67 million views alone.

Her popular song “Indicator” has more than 4 million views, and its Soca infused remix featuring Bunji Garlin, has gotten more than 17,000 views since being released 3 weeks ago.

U.S. Hiphop artist Nicki Minaj – who has more than 73 million social media followers, endorsed the “Indicator” remix on her social media pages, by posting excerpts of the song and calling it ‘her new obsession” and Spice the ‘female Vybz Kartel’. The posts earned Spice more than 10,000 new followers.

Spice is not backed by a major label and has not been ranked on Billboard charts, so her views come strictly from fans watching and sharing her videos.

As the first female Dancehall artist to attain such a high number of views, she says she thinks people are drawn to her videos because of the creative thinking she puts into her visuals.
