A St. Lucian filmmaker is set to premiere his documentary in New York.

Entitled “Who Are You?” Kendal John’s documentary profiles the rich history and culture of St. Lucia, and is being described as “a wonderful and loving tribute to the nation and its people”.

The film features interviews with local historians and scholars who recall St. Lucia’s history while providing intriguing and little-known facts regarding the origins of its native customs and traditions, its magnificent architecture, and its abundant natural beauty.

“Who Are You?” will have two showings, on Saturday, February 11, and Sunday, February 12, at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center in Manhattan.

The New York screenings are in observance of the St. Lucia’s 38th anniversary of independence, as part of the nation’s month long calendar of events, honoring the achievements of past and present St. Lucians around the world.

Under this year’s theme “I Am St. Lucia”, St. Lucia celebrates its 38th anniversary of its independence on February 22.
